Western Australian Ports Receive $136 Million Funding

The 2023 WA state budget has allocated $136 million to projects that will increase the capacity of ports and diversify exports across the state.

This funding aims to expand the Geraldton Fishing Boat Harbour, support the Geraldton Port Maximisation Project and upgrade roads and berth facilities at the Port of Esperance, in addition to funding other related initiatives such as electrical upgrades, new wharves and more.

This infrastructure project is to support the increasing demand for WA exports such as iron ore, gas, wheat and renewables.
