Transport Carriers Introduce COVID-19 Levy

Transport Carriers Introduce COVID-19 Levy

As communicated previously, the logistics industry has been severely impacted by the COVID-19 Omicron variant in Australia. Transolve Global and our partners are following Government guidelines, with positive cases and close contacts in isolation and unable to work. As a result, transport carriers have introduced a COVID-19 Levy. We recognise that this announcement was not taken lightly, and that these levies will be utilised to support additional payments to maintain contractor numbers and agency staff.

Unfortunately, Transolve has no control over these costs and as such has no alternative but to pass on these charges as of 1st February 2022. At this point in time this will be applied to import, export and domestic containers for a number of carriers in Melbourne, however other carriers and regions may introduce similar levies soon. We appreciate your support and patience during these unprecedented times. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

If you have any further queries, please contact our helpful team.

Yours sincerely,
Rachael Budd & The Transolve Global Team
