New fees and charges introduced across Australian ports

Hutchison Ports
Hutchison Ports has announced an increase to their Landside and Storage Tariffs. These tariffs will become effective as of the 13th of May 2024 and will apply to their Brisbane and Sydney ports.

VICT fee increases
Victoria International Container Terminal (VICT) has invited submissions under the state’s Voluntary Pricing Protocol after issuing a 60-day notification of the following fee increases:

  • VGM Weight Discrepancy Fee: effective 1 June 2024
  • Reefer Temperature Discrepancy Fee: effective 1 July 2024

According to VICT’s Chief Commercial Officer Olga Coelho Heubert, these increases are due to increased operational and maintenance costs, as well as capital investment, all of which are crucial to maintain and enhance the efficiency of their services.

Patrick Terminals Reefer Temperature Discrepancy Fee

Patricks Terminals has announced a Reefer Temperature Discrepancy Fee, effective as of 4th March 2024. This will apply to exports across their Sydney AutoStrad and Melbourne operations.

Flinders Adelaide Container Terminal (FACT) Fee Changes

FACT has increased their import storage collection fees, effective as of 1st April 2024, whilst also announcing an upcoming change to their Container Weight Adjustment Fee, with further information to be released in due course.
