31 Mar Shipping Companies Cease All Middle East Cargo Bookings
To prioritise the safety of employees, crew, vessels and cargo, all shipping organisations have suspended all bookings for worldwide cargo through the Middle East region (encompassing the Red Sea, Gulf of Aden, Persian Gulf, Arabian Gulf, Indian Ocean Rim and Strait of Hormoz) until further notice.
All organisations are working with relevant authorities to maintain cargo safety and service continuity whilst also activating contingency measures such as the discharge of affected containers to alternative ports as well as exploring Change of Destinations (COD) or Shipback options.
