Port of Auckland Expansion Plans Approved

The Port of Auckland has received provisional consent for the planned Bledisloe and Fergusson North wharf developments, which will enable the port to build the infrastructure needed to serve Auckland for decades to come.

Bledisloe North Wharf will help meet Auckland’s freight needs, support the cruise industry, whilst also providing more access to the waterfront for Aucklanders and reducing congestion in the downtown ferry basin. Whilst Fergusson North Wharf is critical for the port to become big ship capable and serve Auckland’s freight needs well into the future. Pre-construction works are expected to commence for Bledisloe North Wharf in September.
