17 Jul NSW Supply Chain Receives $115.5 Million Boost
The NSW government has announced $115.5 million funding for a purpose-built logistics precinct at the Port of Newcastle.
This ‘Newcastle Logistics Precinct’, which is a collaboration between the Port of Newcastle and EnergyCo, will support the growing infrastructure demands of the state’s renewable energy rollout, providing more reliable and affordable renewable energy to homes and businesses through the provision of storage for equipment destined for Renewable Energy Zones (REZs) across the state.
The Precinct is one of several projects being delivered in the Hunter region as part of an electric transformation. Others include the Port to REZ road upgrades, Hunter Transmission Project and the Hunter Central Coast REZ.
