Newcastle Airport’s international terminal upgrade is now officially open, providing direct global connections and a raft of new opportunities for the Hunter region.
With an expanded footprint, upgraded facilities for border services, and a new holding area and gates with international/domestic swing capacity, this terminal is expected to support $12.7 billion in economic activity over the next 20 years and create an estimated 4,410 ongoing jobs.
In addition, local exporters and freight operators will gain faster and more resilient access to international freight networks.
