Inaugural Aircraft Lands At Western Sydney Airport

The new Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) has reached a significant milestone with the first aircraft – the RFS Marie Bashir, touching down on the brand-new runway.

This new airport will play a significant role in the movement of freight, increasing Sydney’s air cargo capacity by around 33%, providing dedicated access via the upgraded Northern Road as well as proximity to growing freight and logistics centres at Kemps Creek and the Aerotropolis. It is also set to provide thousands of employment opportunities on top of the 12,224 supported to date.
