Australia-UK Free Trade Agreement Live 31 May

The Australian Government has announced that the Australia-United Kingdom Free Trade Agreement will come into force 31 May 2023. This agreement will remove tariffs from over 99% of Australian goods exported to the UK.

The goods included in this agreement are wine, short and medium grain rice, honey and manufactured products such as auto parts, electrical and cosmetic.

Other goods including agricultural products such as beef, sheep, meat, dairy and sugar will receive access to expanding tariff quota volumes, which will be removed over the following decade.

This Free Trade Agreement is anticipated to deliver significant benefits to Australian exporters and the overall economy.
