22 Oct Cosco Takes Stakes In Two Thailand Terminals
Cosco Shipping Ports (Cosco) has finalised the acquisition of stakes in two terminals at the Port of Laem Chabang in Thailand.
Cosco has acquired 12.5% and 30% of the equity stakes in Thai Laemchabang Terminal (TLT) and Hutchison Laemchabang Terminal Limited (HLT), respectively, strengthening its port portfolio in Southeast Asia and enhancing its global network.
TLT and HLT are currently the largest terminals in Laem Chabang Port, which is Thailand’s most important international container hub, accounting for approximately 80% of the nation’s total shipping activity.
