$128M To Strengthen Bridges For Freight In Victoria

Freight and farming operators across Victoria are set to benefit from a $128 million program strengthening key bridges across the state, aimed at boosting road capacity and improving supply chain efficiency.

The works will allow heavier, high-productivity freight vehicles to travel more efficiently on vital transport routes, supporting Victoria’s $36 billion freight and logistics industry, which employs over 260,000 people, as well as prepare the network for future growth as part of the state’s High-Productivity Freight Vehicle Network.

Several critical freight links are being enhanced across locations such as Geelong, Great Ocean Road, Princes Highway West, Gippsland and Hume Freeway.
